About The Position

Blackstone is seeking a business development professional to support the effort to proactively develop new clients and expand relationships with sophisticated family offices, RIAs and endowments and foundations across the entire Blackstone platform. The Private Capital team is looking for an analyst or associate who is organized, detail-oriented and client centric. The key function of the role will be to support business development efforts across the West Coast. Help identify and cultivate high quality relationships with family offices; this includes supporting the effort to develop goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics to create meaningful relationships with family offices, RIAs and endowments and foundations, resulting in a consistent awareness of Blackstone’s strategies and growth in assets under management. Collaborate on various research projects utilizing internal and external resources to help grow the business. Maintain a high level of prospecting activity to map the West Coast market. Assist on marketing efforts with LP base – semi-annual think tank events, fund specific webinars, and other sales initiatives. Support and encourage a team-oriented model with effective communication, transparency and trust. Collaborate on various research projects utilizing internal and external resources to help grow the business.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of financial industry experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including effectively positioning the capabilities of a platform or product to investors
  • Experience engaging clients
  • Desire to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment, and collaborate across business units
  • Strong organizational skills including prioritizing targets during a busy period of client meetings
  • Self-starter, entrepreneurial and goal oriented, with a high level of accountability and drive
  • Bachelor’s Degree
