About The Position

The ideal Installer is one who can follow directions and assist in preparing and laying artificial grass or synthetic turf for various applications such as residential lawns, putting greens, commercial landscapes, dog parks, playgrounds, and sports fields. This role requires a foundation of hands-on landscape or construction work.

Requirements

Ability to receive and follow directions from supervisor
Motivated, organized, and able to work effectively with others
Skilled with hand tools (rakes, shovels, equipment, knives, etc.)
6+ months of experience in construction or landscaping prefered
Walking, lifting, and outdoor exposure on job sites for content creation
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds

Responsibilities

Prepare base and perimeter board
Assist in the excavation and haul-off of excavated material
Move rock / base material to the appropriate places
Prepare perimeter edging to hold base and secure turf
Pipe out downspouts as necessary to avoid settling and drainage issues
Identify potential issues with drainage and bring problems and potential solutions to Crew Lead
Complete Final Grade
Finish base preparation to final grade
Utilize hand tamps and motorized tamps to ensure final grade is up to standard
Ensure edging is to appropriate final grade to avoid settling
Roll Out turf, cut seams, and trim around edges
Roll out turf according to layout
Utilize seaming tool to cut seams
Trim edges to perimeter edging after seams are cut
Seam together turf and secure turf to perimeter
Fold back turf and lay the seam tape where glue will be applied
Utilize appropriate glue and apply it to seam tape
Walk in seams together ensuring invisibility once walked in
Secure turf to perimeter after all seams have been glued and cured
Infill and power broom turf
Utilize drop spreader to spread infill according to product needs
Spread infill evenly throughout turf according to turf need
Utilize Power Broom to successfully broom infill into turf fibers
Complete job site cleanup
Blow off any loose debris from worksite / turf
Ensure all trash / scrap / blades are picked up and removed from worksite
Final walkthrough with Crew Lead and/or PM checking seams and edges
