About The Position

This role is within Textron Systems' Marine & Land Systems business area. The Installer is responsible for pulling cable and grooming cableways, packing Multi Cable Transits (MCT) and banding cables. The position requires the ability to learn engineering drawings, sketches, blueprints, and schematics, and to follow written/verbal instructions. The Installer will perform as a productive team member, meeting daily goals set by the supervisor and lead, and maintaining required records, forms, and logs. Job duties will be performed using basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, drill motors, sand and grinding tools. The role may involve instructing and mentoring less-experienced team members, maintaining safe work practices, adhering to safety policies and procedures, and ensuring correct construction procedures are followed. Other related duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • 1 -3 years of technical experience.
  • Must be able to follow written/verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to perform basic shop mathematics.
  • Ability to work shifts or overtime as required, must be flexible.
  • General understanding of metric measuring system.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to read blueprints, shop orders, sketches, and drawings is a plus.
  • Experience on naval craft/vessels is a plus.

Responsibilities
