About The Position

Installation Helpers assist our Driver/Installers to load and unload our trucks, install, break down and store rental equipment at various locations. The job entails lifting, walking, and bending to transport equipment including tables, chairs, lighting, staging and sound equipment as well as china, glassware and linens. Knowledge of tent erection is a plus. The services provided by Town and Country Event Rentals is seasonal and will result is varying work hours which at times will require you to work over-time or may result in slower periods. While this is a regular full-time (40 hour) position, you may be asked to work overtime (when approved by your manager) or your hours may be reduced at times. Town and Country Event Rentals will do everything possible to maintain a standard 40-hour work week. This includes supporting other departments such as Warehouse, Tent Maintenance, Dishroom, or Laundry, to name a few. Over-time must be approved by your manager prior to being worked. Any reduction in hours will be communicated to you by your manager. Requests to support other departments will be communicated to you by your manager.

Requirements

Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Constant (80% or more of the time): Prolonged standing, Lifting (under and over 50 lbs.), pushing/pulling, reaching, mental acuity, visual and auditory acuity, verbal communication, consistent attendance, and travel.
Frequent (20%–70% of the time): Written communication, bending, kneeling, squatting, and repetitive motion.
Occasional (5%–19% of the time): Climbing stairs, using independent judgment, and overhead lifting.
construction, equipment/furniture moving, or event set-up: 1 year (Required)

Responsibilities

Serves as a model example of work ethic, safety and professionalism to coworkers.
Obtains routes and assignments from the Dispatch Office or assigned Driver/Installer prior to departure.
Supports Driver/Installer with verifying loads for installation & pickup and assists in maintaining accurate records of all inventory used from warehouse to jobsite and back to warehouse.
Works collaboratively with driver to ensure assignments are completed prior to departure.
Loads truck efficiently and safely, to prevent load shifts and damage to inventory
Notifies Driver of any shortages or damages as they are found, and ensures all items are accurately documented on invoice sheets.
Assists coworkers to facilitate efficient loading, delivery, installation and pickup of equipment
Provides a customer service approach to communication and interactions with sales people, clients and coworkers, to ensure professional and quality representation of Signature Event Rentals
Ensures compliance with applicable OSHA, federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards while on duty, and if operating heavy equipment.
Adheres to all Safety regulations; Safety First!
Detects and eliminates or minimizes safety hazards.
Perform other related duties as required.
Overtime – will be required to be worked during the busy season and must be approved by your manager prior to being worked.
Maintain a safe working environment at each job site by identifying, reporting, and safely finding solutions to hazards.
Properly document and report workplace injuries, auto accidents, or property damage.
Demonstrate a positive attitude and respect towards clients, vendors, and coworkers
Provide excellent customer service through professional communication and properly addressing client needs.
Provide additional support to other drivers and crew to ensure the overall success of the company.
Foster positive customer relationships by working with Event Directors, Production Managers, and Event Sales Associates to address client needs.
