About The Position

The Installer is primarily responsible for assembling and installing American Van products at the Showroom location. The role also supports customer pickups, vehicle movement, warehouse upkeep, inventory counts, and maintenance of tools and equipment. The position requires regular standing and may involve walking and lifting up to 75 pounds. Safety glasses and protective footwear are required on the warehouse floor; additional PPE may be required for specific tasks. The work environment is usually moderate to loud. The company conducts background checks and pre-hire drug screens where allowed by law.

Requirements

Ability to competently use hand tools.
Ability to read work instructions.
Ability to work overtime and weekends.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to troubleshoot.
Ability to read standard and metric rulers.
Manual dexterity.
High school education or equivalent.
Valid driver's license to move customer vehicles.
Minimum 2 years of related work experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
Ability to regularly stand, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear; occasional walking and lifting up to 75 pounds.
Safety glasses and protective footwear are required on the warehouse floor; additional PPE may be required for specific tasks.

Responsibilities

Stage and assemble parts for customer pickups and installations.
Load customer pickups and put away transfers.
Move customer vehicles in and out for installation.
Use work instructions to complete installations from start to finish.
Clean and inspect vehicles after installation.
Maintain tools and equipment, including oiling air ratchets and charging drills and air compressors.
Maintain the warehouse, including taking out garbage and cleaning floors, bathrooms, and showroom areas.
Participate in physical inventory counts as needed.
Communicate tooling and hardware needs to management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
