About The Position

The Installer Lead I is responsible for providing a world-class homeowner experience through the process of installing Renewal by Andersen's windows and doors, offering a customizable experience with specialty skills.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Valid Driver's License with ability to pass a fleet check
  • Basic construction techniques; good knowledge of basic construction and building materials; knowledge of terminology of the construction industry
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations and safe work practices
  • Demonstrated ability to confidently handle confrontation/conflicts using a tactful and diplomatic approach; Ability to maintain perspective under demanding conditions
  • Organizational skills for managing work schedules, job priorities and stock levels
  • Basic math skills
  • Initiative; ability to work independently
  • Flexibility; willingness to work variable work schedules
  • Ability to lift up to 83 pounds
  • Advanced communication and conflict resolution skills, PLUS ability to effectively teach/train others
  • Advanced finish carpentry skills, PLUS ability to effectively teach/train others

  • Advanced bending and application of all standard aluminum applications (Flat wraps, BM, etc.)
  • Ability to install product types offered by RbA (L-Flange, BM, Insert, New Construction (DB, GL, CS, PW, Patio Door)
  • Advanced assessment and problem-solving ability

Responsibilities

  • Assess jobsite for hazards prior to commencement of work and address them as needed
  • Collaborate with other installers throughout the installation project to maximize efficiencies, proper tear outs and installation techniques
  • Build and sustain positive homeowner relations
  • Adhere to proper safety techniques and procedures and Renewal safety programs and training requirements
  • Provide consistent, flawless first-time window and door installation
  • Maintain company vehicle in accordance with Fleet Policy
  • Demonstrate responsible attendance and punctuality
  • Provide direction, training, coaching and mentoring of Install with the goal of advancing their skill sets
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Provide general warehouse support
  • Provide support for minor service calls as needed
