About The Position

This role involves assisting with the installation of lead components according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions. The Installer will read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings, perform fit-up and installation of lead components in the field, and make necessary adjustments or modifications. The position requires maintaining tools and equipment, tracking material usage, documenting daily work, and communicating jobsite issues to the Lead Installer. Team support and adherence to safety policies are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of metal fabrication and installation processes.
  • Ability to read and understand prints and work instructions.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment.
  • Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality of work.
  • Good communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly.
  • Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work in various positions.
  • Ability to work in different environments (shop and field/job sites).
  • Ability to work at heights when required.

Nice To Haves

  • 1–3 years of experience in fabrication, construction, or mechanical assembly preferred.
  • Prior field or installation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with installation of lead components per drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and installation packages.
  • Perform fit-up, and installation of lead components in the field.
  • Perform field adjustments, modifications, and rework as directed.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in proper condition.
  • Track and communicate material usage, shortages, or issues to the Lead Installer (lead brick).
  • Assist in documenting daily work activities, including work tickets and progress updates.
  • Communicate jobsite issues or concerns promptly to the Lead Installer (lead brick).
  • Work closely with the Lead Installer and crew to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Follow direction and complete assigned work within expected timelines.
  • Support other installers and technicians to keep projects moving.
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude on job sites.
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
  • Wear required PPE at all times.
  • Participate in jobsite safety briefings and follow safe work practices.
  • Identify and report hazards, near-misses, and unsafe conditions.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.
