About The Position

HouseSmart Construction’s Installer IV role is for a team member knowledgeable in all aspects of the setup process for single and multi-section homes. This is a hands-on opportunity to own all construction tasks on the jobsite and assist with the training and quality check of others. This role collaborates with the Crew Chief to ensure project efficiency and smoothness. Responsibilities include prepping and cleaning jobsites, roofing, basic masonry, and various high-level electrical and plumbing tasks. The company provides training for tasks the candidate may not have prior experience with. The role involves safely learning to operate, and eventually leading the operation of, specialty heavy equipment. The Installer IV will also answer questions, support team growth, train new hires and Crew Chiefs in Training on technical skills, and proactively solve problems during home installations.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of various residential, commercial, or industrial construction experience.
  • Technical expertise within many areas of construction such as masonry, roofing, etc.
  • Enjoy working with your hands and being outdoors.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with leaders to problem solve.
  • Positive attitude and always work to be a team player.
  • Experience operating heavy machinery such as a skid-steer, tractor, backhoe, or a front-end loader and have a desire to operate specialized heavy equipment.
  • Comfortable with heights (using/safely climbing a ladder) and crawl spaces.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Take pride in your work, working to always have high quality while always being as safe as possible.

  • Desire to expand expertise in construction areas like masonry and roofing.
