About The Position

The Installer II position at Andersen is focused on providing a world-class homeowner experience through the installation of Renewal by Andersen (RbA) windows and doors. This role involves a wide range of installation tasks, from locating and loading job site materials to performing precise opening preparations for various installation types, including inserts and Full Frame with Brickmold. Key responsibilities include basic aluminum bending, understanding and applying proper flashing techniques, making accurate cuts, and safely extracting old windows and doors without property damage. The Installer II is also responsible for installing Fibrex L, F, and Flat trims, demonstrating knowledge of service parts and procedures, and conducting unsupervised audits of truck stock, tools, and products. The role requires addressing installation concerns with field technicians or the installation manager, maintaining the company vehicle according to fleet policy, and consistently demonstrating responsible attendance and punctuality. Beyond direct installation, the Installer II contributes to homeowner delight, provides general warehouse support, offers technical measure functions, assists with service support, and guides Installer Level I personnel.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Window and Door installation experience
  • Ability to dismantle and reassemble windows, window coverings and hardware
  • General understanding and knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe work practices in construction environments
  • Safety knowledge of all equipment
  • Proper usage and understanding of PPE
  • Valid Driver’s License with ability to pass a fleet check
  • Demonstrates responsible attendance and punctuality
  • Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills; strong listening and empathy skills
  • Basic math skills, reading, and legible writing
  • Proficient and safe with power tools, miter box, hand and air tools, and ladder safety
  • Flexibility; willingness to work variable work schedules
  • Ability to provide corrective action feedback relating to safety on the job site
  • Ability to lift up to 83 pounds
  • Consistently provides flawless first-time window and door installation
  • CORO Safety and Compliance required training
  • First Aid/CPR – Every 2 years
  • OSHA 10-hr Construction Safety – Every 2 years
  • Ad hoc trainings as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Able to locate, identify, and load all necessary job site materials from material sheet
  • Perform proper opening preparation for all types of installations, including inserts and Full Frame with Brickmold
  • Performs basic aluminum bending (L flange, drip caps, flat rectangles/coil wrap)
  • Ability to understand and install proper flashing based on install method, including drip caps, L flange, and new construction.
  • Ability to make straight cuts to accurate dimensions within 1/32”
  • Ability to safely extract old windows and doors without damaging property
  • Ability to install Fibrex L trim, F trim, and Flat trim
  • Ability to extract old windows and doors safely and without damaging property
  • Knowledge of service parts, procedures, and product operations
  • Audit all truck stock, tools, products without supervision
  • Address installation concerns with Field Techs or Installation Manager
  • Maintains company vehicle in accordance with Fleet Policy
  • Demonstrates responsible attendance and punctuality
  • Assist in delivering homeowner delight
  • Other duties as assigned
