About The Position

This is a residential technician role based out of the Miami office, covering Broward County, extending north to Deerfield Beach and south to Hollywood/Pembroke Pines. Technicians will be assigned jobs in a clustered area close to their homes. The role requires previous experience in home security and/or CCTV installation or troubleshooting. Experience with installing and servicing security monitoring systems in commercial settings, including CCTV, surveillance cameras, access control systems, card readers, and wireless keypads, is desired. The technician must be comfortable using their own vehicle as a service vehicle will not be provided. This position offers at least 40 hours per week, working Tuesday through Saturday. A mechanical aptitude and an adaptive personality are essential. The technician must maintain 98% or better inventory accuracy, collecting inventory weekly and conducting quarterly checks. Dispatching can be from home or the office via the GANT system. Training will involve a 2-3 week "ride along" with current full-time technicians. Obtaining FASA BASA certification is required during the onboarding stage.

Requirements

  • Previous experience doing home security and/or CCTV installation or troubleshooting.
  • Previous experience with installing and servicing security monitoring systems in commercial settings.
  • Comfortable driving own vehicle.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Adaptive personality.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work hard and efficiently while maintaining quality.
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction.
  • Burg, DSC, Ademco, Security, Brivo, "IP Camera", CCTV, Install, low voltage, Install, Access control, Service, Electrical, Alarm installation skills.
  • Experience with cable, cat6, honeywell, alarm systems, troubleshooting, cat5, dsc, alarms, video, cabling, ip camera, programming, security system, access.

Responsibilities

  • Install and troubleshoot home security and CCTV systems.
  • Service security monitoring systems in commercial settings.

  • Drive own vehicle to job sites.
  • Maintain 98% or better inventory accuracy.
