About The Position
What to expect as a Commercial Security Installation Technician I: Install, commercial electronic security systems for enterprise commercial clients (door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, ect.) Troubleshoot new security installations to ensure the systems are functioning properly and satisfy codes Drive to client sites, with a company issued vehicle, to perform the system installation and confirm the system is operating effectively and meets contract requirements Run electrical wiring; related activities to include drilling, trenching, and aerial runs. Mag locks, card Readers, door strikes etc. Responsible for the connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment and security software installation. Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned such as job-site clean-up

- Willing to learn technical skills and/or experience related to fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems
- Self-starter and work well with direct supervision
- Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper)
Responsibilities
- Install commercial electronic security systems for enterprise commercial clients (door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, etc.)
- Troubleshoot new security installations to ensure the systems are functioning properly and satisfy codes
- Drive to client sites to perform system installation and confirm the system is operating effectively and meets contract requirements
- Run electrical wiring, including drilling, trenching, and aerial runs
- Install components such as mag locks, card readers, and door strikes
- Connect control panels, manage application requirements, conceal wiring, and install security software
- Complete miscellaneous tasks such as job-site clean-up
