About The Position

This role involves installing commercial electronic security systems for enterprise commercial clients. Responsibilities include installing door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, and point sensors. The technician will troubleshoot new installations to ensure proper functioning and compliance with codes. This position requires driving to client sites in a company vehicle to perform installations and confirm system effectiveness. Tasks also include running electrical wiring, drilling, trenching, aerial runs, and installing components like mag locks and card readers. The technician will be responsible for connecting control panels, meeting application requirements, concealing wires, and installing security software. Miscellaneous tasks such as job-site clean-up are also part of the role.

Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
Willing to learn technical skills and/or experience related to fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems.
To be a self-starter and work well with direct supervision.
Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper).

Responsibilities

Install commercial electronic security systems for enterprise commercial clients (door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, etc.)
Troubleshoot new security installations to ensure the systems are functioning properly and satisfy codes
Drive to client sites, with a company issued vehicle, to perform the system installation and confirm the system is operating effectively and meets contract requirements
Run electrical wiring; related activities to include drilling, trenching, and aerial runs. Mag locks, card Readers, door strikes etc.
Responsible for the connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment and security software installation.
Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned such as job-site clean-up
