About The Position

O'Neil's Glass is a growing commercial glazing company based in Fort Wayne, IN. The Installation Team Lead works closely with the Project Manager, Field Coordinator, team members, vendors, and customers to supervise and assist in the installation of commercial glass and aluminum systems. This includes storefronts, curtainwalls, doors and entrances, skylights, etc. O'Neil's offers a DOL approved glazier apprenticeship program through the National Glass Association. Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and insurable to drive company vehicles as needed
  • Able to give direction and make sound decisions
  • Ability to work in high-stress conditions and quickly changing environments
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and processes
  • Demonstrate aptitude in trade related math
  • Proficient in reading construction drawings and blueprints
  • Ability to organize a work schedule
  • Ability to work in high-stress conditions and quickly changing environments
  • Able to use basic hand tools and read tape measure within 1/16"
  • Self-motivated
  • Punctual and dependable
  • Positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn
  • Comfortable with high work (lifts, swing stages, etc.) above 8 ft

Nice To Haves

  • Individuals with 5 years experience as a glazier or carpenter leading a team is desired
  • Three years' experience in a leadership position preferred
  • 5 years experience as a glazier (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with Project Manager to set project goals, resolve issues and report progress
  • Maintain records and logs to track activity and accurately document remaining tasks
  • Manage labor hours and materials per project to stay within budget
  • Coordinate with other Subcontractors, Clients and Customers to successfully complete projects
  • Lead and supervise other team members in the field to ensure project goals are met
  • Resolve job site issues and other unforeseen obstacles encountered in the field
  • Ensure work is performed properly maintaining quality standards and correct mistakes as needed
  • Follow company, customer, and OSHA safety guidelines
