About The Position

Ferguson is seeking an Installation Manager to join their operations team. The candidate will work at the Portland, OR location. The role involves providing leadership for customer-facing associates and branch functions, ensuring competent installation capacity to support sales, and implementing program tools and processes for program integrity. Requirements

  • 3+ years experience preferred with duties in routing, scheduling, or appliance installation or 5+ years installing appliances as a lead.
  • Demonstrated experience using standard hand tools, electric tools and motorized and/or manual lifting devices
  • Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices
  • Excellent customer service skills a must
  • Attention to detail, shown integrity and professionalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize workload appropriately in order to balance multiple demands and meet timelines as required

Responsibilities

  • Providing leadership for the organization's customer-facing associates and branch functions.
  • Providing competent installation capacity to support the sales of finished goods.
  • Ensuring that existing program tools and processes are consistently implemented to maintain program integrity.
  • Direct Reports: 4 - 6 Installation Technicians
  • Reports directly to the Regional Installation Manager
  • Support outside sales and showroom consultants to help secure new business
  • Work across multiple KOB’s – appliances and lighting
  • Manages vendor relations regarding pricing and products
  • Lead appliance install tech’s, delivery, and installation coordinator associates
  • Leads outside contractors if project activities are sub-contracted
  • Consult with associates and customers at job sites
  • Perform quality checks on the installation work to ensure accurate installation practices are used
  • Verify that all paperwork and documentation related to the installation is completed and accurate
  • Manage installation related issues and provide solutions
  • Plan, schedule, or coordinate project activities to meet timelines
  • Direct or coordinate activities of project personnel
  • Work with branch trainer and manager(s) to ensure delivery and install processes are maintained
  • Participate in leadership meetings and represent associate concerns, policies and guidelines to the management team
  • Conduct regular associate meetings
  • Represent the organization to customers, associates and leadership as needed
