About The Position

Rite Rug has been one of the leading flooring distributors for over 90 years! We are looking for an Installation Manager to join our growing team in Cranberry Twsp. PA! This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day flooring installation operations, including installer scheduling, job readiness, customer communication, subcontractor relationships, and installation quality. This role ensures installations are completed efficiently, accurately, and on schedule while delivering an exceptional customer experience and supporting company profitability and operational goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in flooring, construction, installation management, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience coordinating installers, subcontractors, or field personnel preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of flooring products and installation processes is highly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software, Microsoft Office, and business systems.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with customers, installers, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate daily work assignments for installation crews based on skills, availability, job requirements, and workload capacity.
  • Maintain and manage the installation schedule approximately one week in advance, making adjustments as needed to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Review work orders, job specifications, layouts, materials, and installation requirements with installers prior to job execution.
  • Communicate daily and upcoming installation schedules with installers, subcontractors, warehouse personnel, and internal departments.
  • Monitor installation progress and address scheduling conflicts, delays, or installation challenges in a timely manner.
  • Ensure jobs are properly prepared with labor, materials, and documentation before installation begins.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with subcontractors.
  • Review installer paperwork, completion documents, and pay sheets, resolving discrepancies promptly and accurately.
  • Promote a culture of professionalism, quality workmanship, safety, and customer service.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for homeowners regarding installation scheduling, arrival times, project expectations, and installation-related questions.
  • Proactively communicate schedule changes, delays, or project concerns to customers.
  • Address customer concerns and installation issues with urgency and professionalism.
  • Ensure all customer concerns are followed through to resolution while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Operations teams to ensure installations are completed smoothly and efficiently.
  • Coordinate material availability and job readiness with warehouse personnel.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving issues that may impact installation timelines or customer satisfaction.
  • Support process improvement initiatives that enhance scheduling efficiency, installation quality, and communication.
  • Monitor installation quality and workmanship standards.
  • Assist in managing callbacks, punch-list items, and installation-related concerns.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure installers follow company procedures, manufacturer specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate installation records and documentation.
  • Support departmental goals and performance metrics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
