About The Position

Atlantic Refrigeration has been servicing clients in South Florida since 1962 and is seeking an Installation Helper to join their team. This role involves assisting Installers with residential and/or commercial installation projects for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including air handlers, indoor coils, UV lights, air cleaners, and other indoor air quality equipment, adhering to manufacturer specifications and company requirements. The HVAC Install Helper functions as an apprentice to the Installer.

Requirements

1 year experience as an HVAC Helper or similar role
Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and maintenance
Ability to follow instructions and work in a team
Good physical condition and strength with the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces
Ability to understand technical instructions and diagrams
High School Diploma or equivalent
Mechanical, analytical and active listening skills
Positive, customer-focused mindset

Nice To Haves

A valid driver’s license is preferred

Responsibilities

Coordinate with Installers to understand their requirements and expectations
Support Installers with residential and commercial installation projects
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
Help arrange for necessary equipment and materials needed for installations
Assist Installers with ensuring time efficiency of projects
Follow safe and accurate installation procedures and best practices
Ensure tools and equipment are clean, available and in good working order
Support the quality of installations and perform corrective actions as instructed
Help with preparation and clean-up of job sites before and after installation
Participate in on-going training sessions for installation teams to ensure competence and knowledge about the products being installed
