About The Position

The Installation Director creates and implements the HD product line field installation strategy for the One Field Services New Units team within GE Vernova. This role leads a team ensuring compliance with policies and processes, local and international laws. Partners with leaders within GE Vernova, as well as external and internal stakeholders to develop standard operating processes and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
  • 10+ years progressive experience and demonstrated success/knowledge in planning & managing large projects across multiple functions
  • 7+ years managing and developing employees

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for site technical advisory services execution including safety, schedule, quality, cost, and will liaison closely with Aero Project Management.
  • Develop the demand for resources / site staffing including actual dates of mobilization/demobilization
  • Budget management and preparation of estimate at completion of entire TDI scope including NCRs.
  • Project strategy/Bottle necks/Workaround/Outage Planning/Risk Management with Gas Power NU Project Directors/Project Managers on each site.
  • Support site team on top emerging issues including NCRs, critical parts ordering, manufacturing punch list resolution.
  • Prepare for and attend monthly project reviews and Site Constructibility Reviews (SCRs).
  • Project set-up including Job Information Sheet (JIS), crew composition work orders, purchase orders, etc.
  • Site visits, customer meetings.
  • Ensure project weekly reports are published accurately.
  • Review and consult during ITO site man-loading preparation in collaboration with ITO Commercial teams.
  • Support Kaizens for business continuous improvement.
  • Define and establish Lean strategy for regional Installations
  • Lead, develop, and coach regional aero installation team to include training, KPIs, ongoing feedback, etc.
  • Drive a cost competitiveness profile with external suppliers ensuring overall readiness to service and compliance in everything we do
  • Implement Lean practices regionally establishing standard work and daily management
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with Region General Managers, Region Operations management teams.
  • Partner with Region Operations teams on project forecasting and planning to provide appropriate support levels needed to meet requests
  • Identify, track, and communicate key metrics aligned with business drivers
  • Travel may be required
