About The Position

Allegion is seeking a highly organized, customer-focused, and operationally driven Installation Coordinator to support and scale Gatewise deployments. This role acts as a liaison between the sales team, onboarding team, approved vendors, and customers during installation and service execution. The position is responsible for ensuring projects progress smoothly from post-sale onboarding through deployment, maintaining strong communication, accountability, and customer confidence. While the role is largely operational and coordination-focused, it involves regular on-site engagement with vendors and customers. The ideal candidate possesses an understanding of access control systems and hardware, field operations, vendor coordination, and customer service. This position offers a flexible remote work arrangement with occasional on-site visits as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of field technician experience with access control installations and service
  • Hands-on experience with access control systems, low-voltage systems, multifamily operations, or related field environments
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously
  • Professional, customer-focused communication style
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with vendors, contractors, and property management teams
  • Comfortable working independently in both office and field environments
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout your designated area (20%)
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Valid Access Control license in the designated area
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Comfortable using CRM systems, ticketing platforms, and project coordination tools

  • A strong working knowledge of access control systems — including integration with gate operators, electronic strikes, and mag locks

Responsibilities

  • Function as a working supervisor for regional deployment activities, providing day-to-day direction, coordination, and oversight to field teams and vendor partners.
  • Responsible for the overall quality, quantity, and results of the regional installation team’s work, ensuring adherence to established precedents and practices.
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and quality checks on work progress for assigned deployment teams and vendor networks.
  • Analyze installation data and field information to identify trends, resolve on-going day-to-day problems, and improve operational workflows.
  • Use comprehensive knowledge of internal processes to integrate efforts with Sales, Onboarding, and Operations team, coordinating resources to achieve shared business objectives.
  • Coordinate installation scheduling and deployment readiness with customers, vendors, onboarding, and internal teams — the same applies to service cases.
  • Serve as a primary operational point of contact during project execution in your designated area (with additional areas added as experience grows).
  • Help ensure communities are prepared for successful installations: validate onboarding progress, prep work cases with assigned vendors, confirm sites meet Gatewise readiness standards, and verify proper completion.
  • Support and manage relationships with your area’s installation and service vendors throughout their projects.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and support service dispatches and escalation workflows in your designated area — including follow-up through each phase to ensure excellent installation and service outcomes.
  • Conduct onsite discovery walkthroughs, installation validations, and vendor support visits as needed.
  • Ensure regional managers, community managers, and property teams understand deployment expectations, timelines, and next steps once onboarding is complete or when service tickets are not progressing to standard.
  • Partner with Sales, Onboarding, and Operations/Support teams to improve operational workflows and customer experience, drawing on daily interaction with communities and vendors.
  • Contribute to the development of Gatewise’s client and preferred vendor networks, with a focus on your designated area and broader national opportunities.
  • Maintain thorough, timely notes and communications across all channels (email, phone, Salesforce, team meetings).
  • Act as the lead operational coordinator and working supervisor for installations, owning the full flow from initiation through completion, ensuring everything progresses smoothly.
