About The Position

This role involves performing duties related to elevator installation as an apprentice. Requirements

• Sound mechanical/electrical aptitude with proven ability to work with hands
• Interest in making or building things, constructing and doing repairs
• Grade 12 education
• Driver’s license in good standing
• Clean police check
• Bondable

Nice To Haves

• Elevator Devices Mechanic – Trainee (EDM-T)
• Electrical Courses completed will be a plus

Responsibilities

• Work safely
• Work as a team and take direction from lead mechanic
• Drive to job site location and/or arrange with mechanic sometimes for car pooling
• Ensure quality work with no shortcuts, checking all items and ensuring the elevator runs flawlessly on completion
• Complete elevator installation on time and within allocated hours
• Maintain professional conduct and ethical values, being courteous, polite, and using good judgment when dealing with customers, other trades, colleagues, and company policies
• Perform physical activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials, including moving and lifting heavy objects
• Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships, developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time
