Installation and Service Technician
About The Position
At IK Systems, we're seeking a Technician II to deliver best-in-class installation and service for critical security and life safety systems. This is a full-time position with overtime opportunities as needed, and it involves 100% travel within the Syracuse - Mohawk Valley Region. IK Systems designs, installs, and supports integrated security solutions that protect people, property, and assets across industries. Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in low-voltage installation and service
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and efficiency
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Willingness to travel (<100% nationally)
Responsibilities
- Install and service large-scale, networked low-voltage security systems, including access control, surveillance, intrusion detection, and structured cabling
- Support integrated solutions such as life safety, audio-visual, building automation, and endpoint security
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure systems are delivered on time and to the highest standards
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize systems to meet customer needs
- Represent IK Systems as a trusted partner on-site, building strong customer relationships
