Install Support - Pennsylvania
About The Position
SpartanX is seeking a dependable and versatile Install Support Technician to support residential solar field operations across active markets. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and variety. As an Install Support Technician, you'll provide operational support wherever it's needed most—helping installation, electrical, and service teams complete projects safely, efficiently, and with the quality our customers expect. No two days are the same. One day you may be assisting with trenching, another day troubleshooting field issues, investigating roof leaks, or supporting installation crews on specialty projects. This position is critical to keeping projects moving and ensuring homeowners receive an exceptional experience.
Requirements
- Previous construction, roofing, solar, electrical, or field service experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift, carry, and move construction materials throughout the workday
- Comfortable working on ladders, rooftops, and around construction equipment
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and operational needs
- Valid driver's license required
- Clean driving record required
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to pass a background check
Nice To Haves
- Previous residential solar installation experience
- Roofing or construction background
- Electrical or service technician experience
- OSHA 10 certification
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
- Experience performing field troubleshooting and repair work
Responsibilities
- Assist installation and electrical crews with residential solar projects
- Perform trenching and site preparation for solar installations
- Troubleshoot field-related installation issues and assist with corrective actions
- Investigate roof leaks and identify potential installation concerns
- Complete project punch lists and assist with final project completion
- Deliver materials, tools, and equipment to active job sites
- Support service technicians and installation crews with field operations
- Assist with project corrections, repairs, and specialized installation tasks
- Maintain accurate job documentation and communicate project updates to Operations
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Represent SpartanX professionally while interacting with homeowners
