About The Position

As part of the PSS team and broader Tech24 network, the Senior Installation Technician plays a critical role in the installation, setup, and commissioning of commercial cooking (hot side) equipment. This role is responsible for ensuring all equipment is installed correctly, safely, and in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards. The Senior Installer leads and supports installation projects, coordinates with customers and internal teams, and ensures jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This position is ideal for an experienced technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, problem-solving in the field, and delivering a seamless installation experience while representing the company with professionalism.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of commercial foodservice installation experience
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record required
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working on commercial kitchen equipment is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs. and work in varying indoor / outdoor conditions
  • Ability to climb ladders, work from heights, and crawl in tight quarters
  • Own industry standard hand tools
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation as needed

Nice To Haves

  • EPA Universal certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Install, set up, and commission commercial cooking equipment including ovens, fryers, steamers, griddles, warmers, and related kitchen systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation manuals to ensure proper equipment placement and functionality
  • Ensure all gas, electrical, and mechanical connections are completed safely and up to code
  • Test and verify proper operation of newly installed equipment, making adjustments as needed
  • Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues in the field to ensure successful project completion
  • Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Represent the company with professionalism while delivering high-quality customer service
  • Follow all safety regulations and company policies
  • Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development opportunities
