About The Position

Omitron is seeking an Install Manager to support the SPARTAN effort in Colorado Springs, CO. The SPARTAN Enterprise provides secure, resilient network connectivity across geographically distributed Government and mission-partner locations. This role is responsible for leading the operational execution of SPARTAN node deployments and ensuring installation teams are properly staffed, technically prepared, coordinated, and ready to execute field installations. The Install Manager leads Omitron's install team leads, who are directly responsible for delivering, installing, configuring, integrating, and validating SPARTAN nodes in the field. The Install Manager owns coordination across all three install teams, including resource allocation, installation scheduling, deployment readiness, quality assurance, and escalation of technical or logistical issues. This role carries a technical expectation comparable to a Senior Network Engineer, with the added responsibility of managing the operational side of installation delivery. The successful candidate must be capable of understanding SPARTAN network designs, reviewing configurations and installation requirements, assessing technical readiness, and providing hands-on support when complex field issues arise. The Install Manager works closely with SPARTAN network engineering, project management, cybersecurity, logistics, COMSEC, Government customers, and site personnel to ensure each node is delivered in accordance with approved designs, security requirements, installation standards, and acceptance criteria.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship required.
  • Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience: 6+ years of relevant network engineering experience, with demonstrated experience leading technical teams or field installation efforts.
  • Strong working knowledge of network infrastructure design and implementation (routing/switching, network segmentation, WAN/LAN architecture, and related technologies) at a level comparable to a Senior Network Engineer.
  • Demonstrated experience with resource management and scheduling across multiple teams or concurrent field efforts.
  • Experience establishing or enforcing QA/QC processes for technical field work.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across teams and report clearly to leadership.

  • Ability and willingness to travel in support of SPARTAN deployments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting DoD, Space Force, NRO, or other federal/IC network infrastructure programs.
  • Prior experience directly performing or supervising field installs of network infrastructure or nodes.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, PMP, or equivalent network and project/resource management credentials.
  • Familiarity with the SPARTAN program or similar network infrastructure delivery initiatives.
  • Experience deploying infrastructure into classified Government environments.
  • Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Juniper, or similar enterprise networking technologies.
  • Familiarity with Type 1 encryption devices, COMSEC processes, and secure Government network environments.
  • Experience with site surveys, deployment readiness reviews, configuration management, or technical acceptance testing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise three install teams and their team leads, who are directly responsible for node delivery and installation.
  • Build and maintain install schedules across all three teams, balancing delivery deadlines, site availability, and team capacity.
  • Own resource management across the install teams: assigning personnel to installs, managing workload distribution, and flagging staffing gaps or conflicts before they affect delivery.
  • Establish and enforce QA/QC standards for all node installs, including review of completed installs against design and acceptance criteria.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for technical or logistical issues encountered by install team leads in the field.

  • Travel to install sites as needed to support complex installs, resolve field issues, or conduct quality audits.
