About The Position
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair off-grid solar systems that will build your technical skills, while receiving on-the-job training with opportunities for advancement. Advanced Solar Ideas provides reliable off-grid power, battery-based solutions, solar systems, and lighting services for residential and commercial customers. Requirements
- Experience in electrical, battery, solar, HVAC, mechanical, appliance repair, or small-engine repair
- Hand & power tool experience
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record for the past five years.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Ability to work comfortably at heights.

- Mechanically Skilled: You have strong hands-on aptitude and enjoy troubleshooting, repairing, and figuring out how systems work.
- Trade Experienced: Experience in electrical, battery, solar, HVAC, mechanical, appliance repair, small-engine repair, or a related trade is preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate.
- Tool Comfortable: You're confident using hand and power tools and ready to learn solar, battery, and electrical systems.
- Safety Minded: You can lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work comfortably at heights.
- Team Focused: You're dependable, communicate professionally with customers and coworkers, and are willing to ask questions or seek help when troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Install off-grid solar systems on rooftops and occasional ground-mounted applications.
- Service and repair solar, battery, inverter, and LED lighting systems.
- Troubleshoot system issues and diagnose, repair, or replace components.
- Assist with system upgrades and new installations.
- Stock service trucks with the tools, parts, and materials needed for each job.
- Communicate professionally with customers while working at their homes or businesses.
- Complete work orders accurately, including parts, materials, and labor time.
- Maintain safe, organized work practices on every job site.
