About The Position

The INSPIRE Management Trainee Program at Fairmont Orchid is a thoughtfully designed opportunity for recent graduates to begin a meaningful career in luxury hospitality. Through immersive, hands-on exposure across Reservations, Sales and Marketing, Finance, and People & Culture, this program cultivates the next generation of leaders within the Fairmont brand. Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree from a post-secondary institute
  • 1-year cumulative experience in hospitality or in a related discipline, including finance, reservations, or human resources
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across departments and cultures
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (advanced Excel) and hotel systems such as Opera Cloud
  • Excellent administrative, interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical and resourceful, with the ability to interpret data and support operational decision-making
  • Goal-orientated mindset: motivated to take on challenges, drive results, and make an impact
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining U.S. work authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Help shape the guest journey from the very first interaction—ensuring each reservation reflects a personalized and seamless luxury experience.
  • Support daily operations across Leisure, Wholesale, and Group segments.
  • Foster strong collaboration with Front Office, Sales, Conference Services, and Finance.
  • Champion revenue optimization through thoughtful upselling and product expertise.
  • Uphold brand standards through training, reporting accuracy, and operational excellence.
  • Contribute to the financial integrity that underpins every exceptional guest experience.
  • Support accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Assist in budget tracking, expense analysis, and audit processes.
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality across all financial activities.
  • Help create an environment where colleagues feel valued, inspired, and empowered to thrive.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and the full colleague journey.
  • Drive engagement initiatives that foster belonging and pride.
  • Champion Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and wellness initiatives.
