About The Position

Perform pre-pour and post-pour inspections of precast concrete products. This role involves verifying the correct production drawings are used, inspecting forms for dimensional accuracy and condition, and ensuring proper fabrication and placement of reinforcement and cast-in items. The inspector will also examine finished products for conformance to drawings and project requirements, document inspection results, and conduct lab testing on aggregates.

Requirements

At least two years of experience in precast concrete production.
Able to read and interpret precast concrete production drawings.
Able to read a tape measure.
Able to write legibly.
Able to climb on and around the production tables.
Able to lift 50-60 pounds.

Responsibilities

Perform pre-pour and post-pour inspections of precast concrete products.
Inspect and verify the use of the correct production drawings by the builders.
Inspect and verify the dimensional accuracy and condition of forms.
Verify the proper fabrication and placement of reinforcement and cast-in items.
Inspect finished products for conformance with the production drawings and other project requirements.
Document inspection results using the proper forms.
Conduct lab testing on aggregates to determine moisture content for the batch plant.
Work with the batch plant operator to maintain the production of the landscape blocks and pavers.
Maintain the lab for cleanliness and notify QC Manager when equipment or lab materials need replacement.
Work together as part of the Quality Control Team to monitor quality in the plant.
