About The Position

Will perform visual and dimensional inspection duties across all areas of the Service Shop. Perform functional tests on aircraft components, and simple plate layout on incoming materials as necessary. Will verify test setups and perform all types of parts and processes verifications, using necessary inspection techniques and equipment. Will maintain necessary and pertinent records, and perform related duties. Direct or instruct others as required.

Requirements

Experience inspecting aircraft hardware.
Demonstrate the use of basic precision measuring instruments including micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicators.
Ability to use shop math, including fractions, decimals and ability to learn trigonometry and geometry.
Experience working with computers, applications, and keyboarding.
Possess analytical aptitude with methodical attention to detail.
Ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Nice To Haves

Demonstrate the use of special gauges, air gauges, optical comparator, and length gauges.
Experience with open setup and CMM inspection.
Experience in disposition and quoting parts.
Ability to operate various hand and power tools, and basic machining and equipment.
3+ yrs. of experience in inspection of aircraft hardware and 8130 systems.
Some knowledge of machine shop blueprints and engineering sketches.
Experience operating material handling and lifting devices, including ability to obtain forklift license as required.
