Hill International is seeking an Inspector in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role involves inspecting each stage of construction up to completion, interpreting plans, specifications, and codes, and verifying contract work is performed in accordance with all applicable governing codes and regulations. The Inspector will monitor construction sites for safety violations, prepare Non-Conformance Reports when work is not performed to approved standards, and maintain daily activity logs and reports with photographs. Additionally, the role includes reviewing or preparing interim progress reports for contractor payments, monitoring contractor-testing activities, and preparing reports on labor, material, and equipment on site. The Inspector will determine if construction conforms to plans and specifications, conduct quality surveillance of specific quality-related activities, and assist in maintaining a safe work environment. This position also provides Construction Safety and Security field services, including Site Safety and Security Reviews for construction equipment, personnel, work procedures, and traffic control. The role involves coordinating the preparation of inspection survey reports, cost estimates, and maintenance records, ensuring timely submittals. The Inspector will also arrange, coordinate, and oversee technical inspections such as electrical, landscaping, soil testing, concrete, and asphalt mixes, and reinforcing steel for conformance to specification requirements, and coordinate test laboratory activities.
