About The Position

Turner Industries is a fully diversified industrial contractor that provides solutions to increase plant production, reduce costs, and prevent shutdowns in industries such as petrochemical, refining, energy, and pulp and paper. Turner Specialty Services, LLC is seeking an experienced API Inspector (510 / 570) Planner for work in the Plaquemine, LA area. This role will perform duties associated with NDE of materials in accordance with referencing code. The position requires API 510/570 Inspection and the ability to follow and draw isometric drawings. This is a non-exempt role that reports to the Site Manager and involves close supervision with assigned duties according to specific procedures. It is a local position with no per diem.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
API 510/570 Certification
TWIC card is required
Must have a valid drivers license
Ability to pass a background check and drug test
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, turnaround environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety compliance
Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills
Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)

Nice To Haves

Ability to follow and draw isometric drawings.

Responsibilities

Perform duties associated with NDE of materials in accordance to referencing code.
Generate weld repair plans and ITP's.
Review work packages for Mechanical (welding, pipe fitting, boilermaking), soft-skill (Scaffolding, Painting, Insulation), civil, rigs all sizes, QA/QC, X-Ray, hydro blasting, etc.
Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
