About The Position

We are seeking an Inspector to support the construction of a dark fiber conduit line across Alabama. This role will work closely with the Construction Manager and Resident Manager to ensure construction quality, compliance, and adherence to project standards. The Inspector will be based in the Huntsville, Client area and should expect to travel approximately 80% of the time to construction sites throughout Alabama.

Requirements

• Experience in construction quality inspection.
• Familiarity with dark fiber conduit line construction.
• Ability to travel approximately 80% of the time to construction sites throughout Alabama.
• Strong understanding of project specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience developing and maintaining audit procedures and inspection schedules.
• Proficiency in preparing and maintaining Audit Results & Mitigation Trackers and Audit Mitigation Resolution Trackers.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections and audits across assigned construction segments.
• Work closely with the Construction Manager and Resident Manager to ensure construction activities meet project requirements.
• Conduct audits on approximately 10% of installed hand-holes and splice cases.
• Perform site audits in accordance with customer requirements and established audit procedures.
• Develop and maintain audit procedures and inspection schedules in collaboration with the customer.
• Prepare and maintain Audit Results & Mitigation Trackers and Audit Mitigation Resolution Trackers.
• Document inspection findings, track corrective actions, and verify issue resolution.
• Travel extensively (approximately 80%) to construction sites throughout Alabama.
• Ensure all construction work complies with project specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to project stakeholders and support timely resolution of quality issues.
