About The Position
Conval is an industry leader in the engineering, marketing, and manufacturing of Severe Service Industrial Valves. Some of the industries that we service are the power generation industry, refineries, pulp and paper plants, water treatment, oil and gas production, fertilizer, and chemical.
Requirements
- Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Prior experience using gauges such as micrometers, calipers, and height stands
- Previous inspection experience is required
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge database software or manufacturing software preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
- Experience operating a CMM preferred
- Experience with NDT Penetrant Testing is a plus
Responsibilities
- Performs first piece, in process, and final dimensional inspections on manufactured parts and components
- Performs receiving inspection activities associated with purchased parts, components, material, and services
- Performs Commercial Dedication inspections
- Records inspection results
- Documents non-conformance to drawing or specification requirements
