About The Position

The Inspector role is responsible for ensuring the quality of electronic assemblies through various inspection methods and adherence to industry standards. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, the ability to interpret technical documentation, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards within the production department.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of and ability to inspect to IPC-A-610
  • Ability to inspect through a microscope
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Good writing skills
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certified
  • Prior Final Inspection experience in the electronics industry
  • Prior inspection experience

Responsibilities

  • Maintain IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certifications.
  • Obtain IPC-7711 certification if required by the team.
  • Inspect assemblies using a 3D AOI system and determine pass/fail status according to IPC-A-610 class.
  • Perform final inspections of assemblies and determine pass/fail status according to IPC-A-610 class.
  • Maintain SMT and Final QA SFE certifications.
  • Track defects in the database.
  • Complete and submit AS9102 FA reports to QA.
  • Operate x-ray machines according to work instructions.
  • Operate AOI systems according to work instructions.
  • Run in-line and batch washers according to work instructions.
  • Use the MES to track job time and status.
  • Create and complete non-conformances/DMRs.
  • Read, understand, and navigate Fusion documentation.
  • Assist in updating procedures and work instructions to reflect current processes.
  • Maintain 6S standards and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Adhere to safety, ESD, ITAR, and QMS protocols.
  • Actively participate in Lean activities and embrace change.
  • Follow QMS procedures relevant to the position and assist in updating them.
