About The Position
The Inspector performs verification inspection of Eaton’s suppliers detailed components. They also perform verification inspections of Eaton’s product for compliance to customers requirements.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent from accredited institution
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in manufacturing and/or military environment
- Minimum of two (2) years experience reading and interpreting blueprints
- Experience using precision measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers, comparator, thread gauge, etc.
- Must be a U.S. person within the meaning of ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a Technical Degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
- Experience with Coordinate Measurement Machine use, programming ability is preferred.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and use precision measurement equipment
- Use thorough knowledge of measurement systems and techniques including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Be familiar with the requirements of ISO9001 and AS9100
- Interact with co-workers and customer representative
- Perform verification inspection of Eaton’s supplier’s detailed components'
- Performs verification inspection of Eaton’s product for compliance to customer’s requirements
- Assist customer source inspectors as required
