About The Position

This is a professional position responsible for inspecting medical dispensaries to ensure compliance with regulations established in 381.986, Florida Statutes.

Requirements

  • Proficient in computer skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; knowledge of computer data bases; knowledge and use of the compliance management system and licensing system used by the Agency; knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures and government rules & regulations.
  • Skill in reading and writing; investigating and researching; knowing how to find information and identifying essential information; finding ways to structure or classify multiple pieces of information; using logic and analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches; inspecting and evaluating the quality of products; organizational skills.
  • Ability to understand sentences and paragraphs in work related documents; effectively manage time; communicate effectively, verbally and in writing; make sound judgments; interpret, understand, and apply applicable rules, regulations and policies and procedures; ability to maintain strict confidentiality; ability to travel; ability to pass a thorough background investigation.
  • One (1) year of professional experience in conducting investigations, regulatory or compliance inspections.
  • A valid Driver's License
  • Participation in direct deposit

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Professional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.

Responsibilities

  • Review and audit all activities related to medical dispensaries to ensure that all procedures, goods, and equipment comply with statutory requirements.
  • Respond to inquiries from medical dispensaries regarding compliance issues.
  • Investigate complaints and potential issues at medical dispensaries.
  • Conduct follow-up inspections as assigned.
  • Assist with inspection activities related to cultivation, processing, dispensing, delivery, storage, and seed-to-sale operations of treatment centers to ensure that all procedures, goods, and equipment comply with statutory requirements.
  • Prepare written reports to document inspection findings.
  • Initiate notices of noncompliance and work with management to communicate and resolve findings.
  • Serve as point of contact with medical dispensaries on compliance actions for inspection related deficiencies.
  • Provide education to facilities on compliance requirements as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
