About The Position

This is a full-time Inspector Senior position located onsite in Irvine, CA, working the 2nd shift (1:30 PM–10:00 PM). The role involves performing semi-complex inspections to ensure product conformity and safety, supporting production and quality teams. Your work will directly affect acceptance decisions, customer returns handling, and calibration/inspection program integrity. Requirements

• Experience with First Article inspection AS9102 (Aerospace)
• Experience with mechanical inspection and GD&T knowledge
• Experience reviewing supplier certificates (material certs, special process certs, test reports)
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, customer specifications, internal drawings, and procedures
• Working knowledge of shop mathematics including trigonometry
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and ability to work as a participative team player
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to pass FAA drug screen

Nice To Haves

• Preferred experience operating CMM equipment
• Background in dimensioning and tolerancing per ANSI Y14.5
• Personal hand tools

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate acceptance/rejection records and certification systems per specifications
• Inspect parts, tools, or instruments to determine acceptance or rejection and document defects
• Perform semi-complex inspections on machined parts using measuring instruments and adapt setups for samples, forgings, and castings
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, and technical documents to assess acceptability and perform dimension/tolerance conversions
• Conduct calibration on measuring and test equipment and document calibration intervals
• Perform nondestructive testing, daily checks, and equipment setup while ensuring compliance with safety rules and FOD-free work area
• Investigate customer return failures and assist source inspectors, documenting and evaluating results per approved procedures
