Our Quality team plays a vital role in ensuring every product meets the highest standards for precision, performance, and customer satisfaction. We are seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team at our Lewiston, Maine facility. This role is responsible for inspecting finished and in-process products to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality standards. The Quality Inspector utilizes precision measuring equipment, performs visual inspections, maintains inspection documentation, and works closely with Manufacturing to ensure only quality products move through the production process. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented manufacturing professional who enjoys precision measurement, problem-solving, and working in a quality-driven environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and ERP transactions
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
  • Basic shop math skills and the ability to interpret technical specifications

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing, quality inspection, or precision machining preferred
  • Experience using micrometers, calipers, CMMs, and other precision measuring equipment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment and visual inspection techniques
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements to verify product compliance
  • Operate inspection equipment, including manual and CNC Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), as required
  • Measure, identify, package, and prepare materials for shipment or additional processing
  • Perform calibration checks on inspection equipment and maintain accurate quality documentation
  • Complete ERP transactions, inspection records, and production paperwork accurately
  • Support continuous improvement efforts while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Follow all company safety policies and quality procedures while assisting with other inspection activities as needed
