The Inspector Packer is required to perform tasks involved in the production, inspection, and packing of Altor Solutions’ products. This role involves reporting to the appropriate individual (Quality, Set Up Technician, Production Supervisor) if products do not meet company quality standards. The Inspector Packer must follow Altor Solutions’ standards for Safety, Housekeeping, Quality, and Production in an efficient and safe manner. This position requires excellent manual dexterity, the ability to pack and inspect product at a rate of up to 60 parts per minute, and the ability to lift 40 pounds. The Inspector Packer is responsible for assigned production lines to ensure product is packaged in accordance with established quality and product standards and must familiarize themselves with daily production goals to achieve them for each line assignment. They may operate production line equipment to inspect, pack, and/or count products automatically or manually. After packing, they will seal and label each package properly and move completed packages for loading onto a pallet. Data entry into the ERP system is also a key responsibility. The role requires understanding machine operation, emergency stop procedures, lockout/tag out policy, and the ability to differentiate between various types of rejects and foam specifications. Proper identification and placement of various box labels (Box/Case, WIP, reject, Partial Carton) are also essential. The Inspector Packer must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) properly and maintain a clean workstation and assigned areas. Communication with co-workers and leadership regarding safety, housekeeping, quality, and production issues is crucial. Following plant-specified job training guidelines is mandatory. All other duties as assigned.
