About The Position

Job Purpose:
To inspect for imperfections and pack tools according to the company and/or customer standards.

Requirements

• One to three months of related experience or on-the-job training.
• Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and use arms/hands to reach, finger, handle or feel, talk and hear for 8 hours or more per day.
• Must be able to frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Must have close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus to work.
• Employees will be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, high noise levels, and vibration to hands.
• Employees will be required to wear hearing protection, safety glasses and foot protection.
• Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to perform mathematical skills such as: addition, subtractions, multiplication, and division of all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; and ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Responsibilities

• Inspects tools for defects, such as: cracks, bent tools, paint/coating imperfections and informs supervisor of defects.
• Wraps, labels and packs products for shipment at greater than the minimum quantity required as directed by Foreman. May also have to dip sharp ends in protective coating solution and/or place gauges and protective sheaths/guards on products.
• Moves, loads and unloads tools/product in cart and transports to specific staging area and transports completed and inspected shipping cartons to staging area for transfer to the warehouse.
• Completes the appropriate routing sheet and inputs data entry information in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned
