About The Position

As a FAA Inspector Level 2 here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality in aviation operations. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, audits, and evaluations to verify adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies. You will report directly to our Quality Manager and you’ll work out of our Olathe, KS facility location on an On-site work schedule. In this role, you will impact the safety and regulatory compliance of Honeywell’s aviation operations by providing expert oversight and ensuring that all processes meet FAA standards. Your work will contribute to the continuous improvement of operational safety and regulatory adherence across the organization.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in quality inspection or a role with responsibilities including ensuring compliance to quality and customer requirements, preferably within FAA-regulated, manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inspection techniques and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in conducting audits, investigations, and compliance assessments with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with regulatory documentation, reporting tools, and compliance tracking systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, regulatory documents, and maintenance records to ensure compliance.

Nice To Haves

  • A degree or certification in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or related field is preferred.
  • Certification or training related to FAA inspection or aviation safety is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with aviation safety management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections, audits, and evaluations to verify adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Identify and document defects, non-conformances, and deviations, and communicate findings to relevant teams.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
