About The Position
The Inspector II is responsible for ensuring that materials and products meet customer, industry, and internal standards and specifications. This role involves using various inspection tools, reviewing documentation, and working closely with production to verify product conformance. The Inspector II will also manage non-conforming materials and maintain knowledge of relevant quality standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years of experience in quality inspection
- Basic computer skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with sheet and plate material
- Experience with Titanium, Aluminum and steel
- Experience in the fastener industry
- Experience in the Aerospace Industry
Responsibilities
- Read, understand and practice customer standards and specifications.
- Read, understand and practice industry standards and specifications.
- Read, understand and practice internal procedures and work instructions.
- Use various inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, tape measures, and ultrasonic thickness testers.
- Review and inspect incoming, in-process and outgoing material.
- Work with production to review and verify products conformance to specified requirements.
- Handle non-conforming material including the identification and disposition as required.
- Handle the review of incoming material test reports to ensure compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of AS9100D/AS9120B/ISO 9001-15 standards.
- Assist in conducting internal audits.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet facility goals.
