About The Position

The Inspector I performs Quality Assurance inspection and release activities for finished-good medical devices in a manufacturing and distribution warehouse. The role works with quality, operations, and engineering departments to help achieve production plan goals. It is an onsite position, with employees expected to work at the local office five days per week, and is assigned to the second shift. Relocation assistance and employment visa sponsorship are not available for this position.

Requirements

• 0–1 years of experience with a high school diploma and/or equivalent experience, training, or apprenticeships.
• Ability to read and write English, record information on paper and electronically, and read and understand written instructions in English.
• Basic computer skills.
• Detail-oriented and focus-driven, with the ability to work in a dynamic team setting.
• Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 40 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Associate or bachelor’s degree.
• Proficiency with inventory, manufacturing, and distribution software systems such as SAP, MES, and Manhattan.
• Solid understanding of quality concepts and procedures for inspection and release activities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electronic and paper production order records and physical products to confirm conformance with specifications and procedural requirements.
• Perform inventory software transactions in SAP, Manhattan Warehouse System, and MES to release products for customer distribution.
• Lift and move shipper boxes, bins, and pallets of medical devices using manual or powered material-handling equipment, including forklifts.
• Communicate and escalate quality issues through computer ticket systems and verbal or email communications.
• Follow Boston Scientific procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices in a manufacturing and distribution setting.
• Undergo and participate in audits conducted by internal and external quality and regulatory agencies.
• Perform other duties as required.
