About The Position

The Inspector I position plays a crucial role in maintaining product quality and customer satisfaction through thorough visual inspection of products. This position is responsible for examining, evaluating, and ensuring products meet established quality standards and customer specifications. The Inspector I also conducts proper packaging operations, while adhering to safety protocols and workplace organization standards. The role serves as the primary quality checkpoint in the production process, requiring keen attention to detail, strong visual acuity, and consistent application of quality standards. This position requires an individual who demonstrates reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to quality while maintaining productivity standards in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to understand technical instructions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to quickly identify and sort finished product
  • Basic computer use
  • Problem Solving Skills
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must pass pre-employment assessment
  • Drug screening
  • Background check

  • Ability to understand and follow Safety, Food Safety and GMP requirements

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough visual inspections of products according to customer specifications
  • Identify defects based on established quality standards
  • Monitor product consistency and conformity to requirements
  • Escalate Quality defects to Quality Lead as appropriate
  • Pack products according to specified procedures
  • Apply appropriate labels and packaging materials
  • Ensure proper product orientation and arrangement
  • Participate in safety improvement programs/projects including BBSOs and 5S events
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of work area responsibilities including work area cleaning.

Benefits

  • An additional $2.50/hr. premium added to salary for hours worked between 7pm-7am.
