About The Position
L3Harris is seeking a Receiving Inspector C for its Culpeper, Virginia site, a center of excellence for Solid Rocket Motor Propulsion and Energetics development and high-complexity production programs. Under general supervision, the Inspector C applies quality assurance concepts, practices, and techniques. The role requires strict adherence to safety and housekeeping standards and entry into manufacturing areas. Work hours align with the manufacturing areas, with overtime expected as directed by the department manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 years of prior relevant experience, or 2 years of post-secondary education/an associate degree and at least 2 years of prior related experience.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
Nice To Haves
- Trade or vocational school coursework in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and basic math.
- Understanding of related AS 9100/ISO 9001 elements.
Responsibilities
- Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring or specialized equipment to inspect rocket motors and rocket motor components under the supervision of higher-level inspectors, in accordance with AS 9100/ISO 9001 elements.
- Complete paperwork, including IR cards and discrepancy reports.
- Enter shipping data, discrepancy reports, and Oracle entries for all programs.
- Adhere to safety and housekeeping standards.
