About The Position

The Inspector Analyst is responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and overseeing Field Inspector requirements within the branch office. This includes ensuring that field equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are properly maintained and available, coordinating the maintenance of fleet trucks, and supporting other inspection-related operational requirements. The Inspector Analyst serves as a key administrative and operational resource to ensure Inspectors are properly qualified, equipped, and prepared to safely and effectively perform their assigned duties.

  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills and a thorough understanding of company policies, procedures, and operating practices as they relate to inspection services.
  • Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling personnel and company information.
  • Must effectively communicate with Inspectors and maintain professional working relationships.
  • Must be capable of maintaining accurate and timely records and following up on outstanding requirements.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet established deadlines.
  • Must understand and consistently apply applicable inspection requirements.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to coordinate equipment, vehicle, and operational requirements with Inspectors, management, vendors, and other appropriate personnel.
  • Meet all required pre-hire and periodic qualifications and certifications.
  • Maintain current documentation and credentials required to perform inspection services.
  • Complete required training and safety programs within established timeframes.
  • Meet applicable terminal, customer, local, and regulatory entry requirements.
  • Remain qualified and eligible to perform assigned inspection duties.
  • Receive timely notification of upcoming qualification, certification, training, and other compliance requirements.
  • Work may occur indoors or outdoors, during day or night, and may require full PPE and exposure to varying temperatures and petroleum facility environments.
  • The position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs., walk and stand for extended periods, climb ladders and stairs, bend, squat, kneel, reach, push/pull equipment, use inspection tools, sit, and drive for extended periods.
  • Employees must be able to work independently and safely while complying with all applicable company and site-specific safety requirements.
  • Work indoors and outdoors for extended periods.
  • Wear required PPE for the duration of applicable field activities.
  • Work in varying weather and temperature conditions.
  • Work during both daytime and nighttime hours when required.
  • Work independently and safely in field environments.
  • Climb ladders and stairs as required.
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials within the stated requirements.
  • Maintain sufficient mobility, balance, coordination, and physical capability to safely perform assigned duties.

  • Perform routine activities associated with inspection equipment, PPE, fleet vehicles, and branch operations.
  • Comply with all applicable company safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of equipment assigned to each Inspector.
  • Ensure equipment and supplies are properly accounted for.
  • Monitor equipment condition and identify equipment requiring repair or replacement.
  • Ensure required equipment calibrations and/or verifications are completed and current.
  • Maintain accurate calibration, verification, inspection, and equipment records.
  • Ensure required PPE is available, appropriate, and maintained in accordance with company requirements.
  • Coordinate replacement or replenishment of equipment and supplies as necessary.
  • Maintain records in accordance with company policies and operating practices.
  • Identify equipment deficiencies and communicate corrective actions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support the procurement and availability of equipment and supplies necessary for field operations.
  • Maintain accurate records for assigned fleet trucks and vehicles.
  • Monitor scheduled and preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Coordinate routine maintenance, inspections, repairs, and service appointments.
  • Track vehicle registration, insurance, inspections, and other applicable documentation.
  • Communicate vehicle maintenance requirements and deficiencies to the Branch or Operations Manager.
  • Follow up on outstanding repairs and maintenance to ensure timely completion.
  • Monitor vehicle condition and report safety or operational concerns.
  • Coordinate the availability of replacement or backup vehicles when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and current fleet records in accordance with company policies and operating practices.
  • Support efforts to ensure fleet vehicles are safe, reliable, properly equipped, and available for field operations.
  • Maintain accurate, current, and organized Inspector qualification and compliance records.
  • Monitor expiration dates and proactively communicate upcoming requirements to Inspectors and management.
  • Follow up on incomplete, expired, or outstanding requirements.
  • Maintain accurate equipment, PPE, fleet, and maintenance records.
  • Coordinate with appropriate personnel, departments, training providers, vendors, and other resources as necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality of personnel, qualification, and other sensitive company records.
  • Provide management with status updates and identify potential compliance issues before they affect Inspector availability or branch operations.
  • Support branch operations by ensuring Inspectors are properly qualified, equipped, and prepared for assignments.
  • Maintain organized documentation to support internal reviews, audits, customer requirements, and company compliance.
