About The Position

This role is critical to ensuring the airworthiness, precision, and compliance of Life-Limited Parts (LLPs), engine casings, and high-value components during and after repair within the Component Repair Business Unit (CRBU) in Montréal.

Requirements

  • DEP (diplôme d'études professionnelles), DEC (diplôme d’études collégiales), or ASP (Attestation de spécialisation professionnelle) in Inspection, Aerospace, Machining, Welding, Sheet Metal, or Structures
  • Minimum of 3 years in aerospace component inspection, with emphasis on critical parts such as LLPs, rotating hardware, and casings.
  • Skilled in interpreting technical drawings (including GD&T) and using high-precision measuring instruments.
  • Familiarity with TC, FAA, EASA, and AS9100 standards.
  • Exceptional focus on quality and accuracy in all inspection tasks.
  • Ability to effectively communicate findings and collaborate in a cross-functional, team-based environment.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of English is necessary for aeronautical personnel to meet regulatory requirements, understand technical procedures and instructions, and document entries regarding work performed on the aeronautical product for customers outside Quebec.

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace Technicians, Machinists, Welders, or Sheet Metal Technicians.
  • Employees with previous aerospace inspection experience or holding current LLP inspection certification.
  • Employees who have completed the SCA 300 training.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of LLPs and casings to ensure compliance with OEM specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Utilize advanced measurement tools (e.g., CMM, micrometers, calipers, profilometers, bore gauges) to assess component integrity and dimensions.
  • Accurately document inspection findings and maintain detailed records for compliance and traceability.
  • Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to address discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection quality, process efficiency, and performance.
