M&J is seeking a skilled and motivated Inspections Engineer to support transportation and infrastructure projects. In this role, you will work closely with project managers, resident engineers, contractors, and client representatives to ensure construction activities are completed in accordance with project plans, specifications, quality standards, and applicable regulations. The Inspections Engineer will perform field inspections, monitor construction progress, document project activities, and help ensure the successful delivery of high-quality infrastructure projects.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Will accept a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in Project Management/Coordination.
  • Will accept U.S. equivalent of the degrees.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily field inspections of construction work done, including structural steel welding inspections and non-destructive testing.
  • Creating inspection reports for clients that include MTA, New York City Transit, NYC Department of Parks and Recreation and the Dormitory Authority of the City of New York.
  • Prepare and compile comprehensive Inspector Field Reports documenting daily routine inspections for various construction activities.
