About The Position

IMCO Carbide Tool in Perrysburg, Ohio is hiring for several openings in their Manufacturing - Inspection Department. These positions do not require prior industry experience as training will be provided. The role requires attention to detail, basic math skills, and a desire to work. The quality of tools is paramount, and the Inspection employee will ensure tools meet established specifications and quality control standards through visual and dimensional inspections using measuring equipment and reading blueprints. Responsibilities include in-process inspections, first part inspections, second approvals, SPC tracking, providing alerts for adjustments, confirming corrections, and potentially assisting with daily reports for the engineering team. Employees are expected to adhere to all Safety Policies and Procedures, with a primary goal of ensuring all employees return home safely each day.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required
  • General math skills are necessary (a math test will be administered)
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and handle tools properly
  • Effective communication skills (verbal, written)
  • Ability to work with a diverse environment
  • Ability to adhere to a schedule on a regular basis
  • Basic computer skills
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Flexibility of hands/fingers for handling tools and for data entry
  • Visual acuity, with or without corrective lenses
  • Ability to stand for periods of time
  • Ability to walk / ambulate
  • Ability to bend to retrieve materials
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion

Responsibilities

  • Use appropriate inspection processes (visual and dimensional)
  • Use measuring equipment
  • Read blueprints to ensure tools meet necessary specifications and quality control standards
  • Handle in-process inspections, first part inspections, and second approvals
  • Perform SPC tracking
  • Provide alerts when adjustments are needed and confirm corrections after adjustments
  • Assist with daily reports for the engineering team
  • Adhere to all Safety Policies and Procedures
