About The Position

The Inspection Inspector will perform hands-on pipe inspection tasks in a plant environment. This role involves verifying pipe condition, including cleanliness, coating, outside diameter, and inside diameter, to ensure it is ready for inspection. The inspector will also identify, mark, and evaluate pipe imperfections, clean and lubricate thread connections, and support a clean and safe work environment through in-plant housekeeping. Following all company safety, quality, and operational procedures is essential.

Requirements

  • Perform hands-on pipe inspection tasks in a plant environment.
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment as required.
  • Occasionally exert 50 to 100 pounds of force and/or frequently exert 25 to 50 pounds of force to move objects.
  • Use basic math and measurement skills, including inches, feet, yards, ounces, and pounds.
  • Read and follow simple written instructions, procedures, and work-related documents.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
  • Basic reading, writing, communication, and arithmetic skills required.
  • Ability to compare similarities and differences between words and number sequences.
  • Willingness to complete on-the-job training under the instruction of a qualified worker.
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position.
  • Offer of employment is contingent upon the completion of background and drug screenings, conducted in accordance with applicable laws.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma, GED, vocational education, technical school, commercial training, or shop training preferred.
