About The Position

Thompson Industrial, a Clean Harbors company, is seeking Hydroblasting Technicians based in Bossier City, Louisiana, to work at various customer locations. The role supports the successful setup and operation of water treatment systems, pipeline hydrostatic testing, hydroblasting, and related industrial cleaning work. Technicians represent Thompson Industrial and help maintain ongoing working relationships with clients and customers. The work takes place in industrial settings such as refineries, petrochemical facilities, utilities, and pulp and paper mills. Hydroblasting equipment experience is a plus but is not required. A valid driver’s license with a clear record is required. Job offers are contingent on background checks, drug testing, and physical results in accordance with company policy.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license; a clear driving record is required. Company driving-policy requirements apply when driving a company vehicle or using a personal vehicle for company business.
Ability to understand English well enough to comprehend safety training and respond to emergency instructions.
Specific vocational preparation, including classroom safety training, on-the-job training, and essential experience gained on other jobs.
Knowledge of operating emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers.
May be required to obtain OSHA certification.
May be required to provide a Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).

Responsibilities

Follow company health and safety policies and processes, acting safely at all times.
Set up and assist with water treatment systems and pipeline hydrostatic testing.
Operate manual and automated hydroblasting equipment.
Operate special equipment, including ultra-high-pressure pumps.
Operate pumping equipment and specialized hydroblasting or chemical-cleaning equipment, vacuum trucks, and cutting equipment used on the job.
Examine cleaned surfaces when required to ensure they meet company and customer expectations.
Perform routine and required maintenance on the unit, peripherals, industrial vacuuming equipment, and other company equipment used on the job.
Handle disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Represent Thompson Industrial and maintain working relationships with clients and customers.
