About The Position
Clean Harbors is looking for a Hazmat Decontamination Technician to join our safety-conscious team! This is an entry-level role where you will perform a wide range of tasks, including making waste pickups, conducting chemical bulking and consolidation, and packaging and labeling waste products. You will also participate in spill response, operate forklifts, inspect drums, ensure safe loading/unloading of vehicles, and complete waste stream sampling and profiling. With safety as our top priority, you'll receive training and support to succeed and advance your career.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Hazmat Decontamination Experience
- Willingness to complete a background check, drug test, and physical
Responsibilities
- Making waste pickups throughout a customer’s facility
- Conducting chemical bulking and consolidation
- Packaging and labeling waste products to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance
- Participating in spill response on customer’s site as needed
- Operating forklifts
- Inspecting drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance
- Ensuring the safe loading and unloading of waste hauling vehicles
- Completing waste stream sampling and profiling
